An idea that was sparked on a humid stroll through the streets of Bali - humble new business owners Kirst and Shan stepped into a new world of endless possibilities and learning. With both of us having a calling to start something that thread together our love for beautiful things + our desire to employ philanthropic work to our 9 to 5- the seed of Dawn to Dusk was planted.
All aspects of the business are mindfully sewn together to create a brand that is centered around community and working towards the common cause of conscious collaboration. Conscious of the impact we have on others, conscious of our impact on mother earth, conscious of the energy you give is the energy you receive back in all aspects of life.
Dawn to Dusk Collections is a proudly South African lifestyle brand inspired by our travels and own lifestyles, through this a brand of dreams has been born. The idea behind the brand is that the products form part of your everyday, from the crack of Dawn to the break of Dusk.
'Dawn to Dusk truly has evolved and grown with us, and ultimately, was formed with our friendship as the foundation. A brand that represents connection - both to those we cherish and to Mother Nature.'
The driving force for the start of this collaborative brand was firstly creating + creativity, and secondly how we can help the cause of being kinder to people + to mother earth. Through our own journeys of mindfulness and striving to live a life from our heart spaces on the daily – one thing led to another and our ‘slow fashion brand’ was born.
We firmly believe that by promoting a transparent relationship between the consumer and the process of creation, there will be a necessary shift in how one values a garment, accessory or home decor item. As you begin to understand the story behind how and why our products are created, you become intimately involved in the evolution of our brand. When you buy an item from our small business, you are not only fuelling our love and passion for creating, but simultaneously granting us the opportunity to learn and to grow, inspiring us to evolve in the most mindful way possible.
Dawn to Dusk Collections aims to be a business model based off of our personal ethos of mindfulness. The front of house creative connector, nature the conscious connector + the heart space caring connector. The three concepts that create who we are as a business + brand.
The hope for this brand is that it becomes a collaborative space for projects that allow for community improvement, and awareness about how we can make a change for the better.
